For purpose of estimating Building Warrant Application costs Local authorities will accepts Construction costs of around £1,300 per square metre of extension. Those are based on main contract costs published by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (R.I.C.S.) Such costs do not take into account any discounts which a builder might offer.
